Every MemoGuard Ingredient, Named And Graded

All five ingredients are named on the label. None carry a printed milligram amount. Here's what's confirmed about each, and how the evidence behind it actually holds up.

Bacopa Monnieri Extract

Strong evidence

The lead ingredient in this formula, and one of the best-evidenced nootropic botanicals available. Bacopa's connection to memory is summarised by the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, and multiple randomized controlled trials show improved memory consolidation with consistent use over 8-12 weeks.

This is the one ingredient in the formula where the evidence is specific, direct, and reasonably consistent across studies — which is likely why the brand leads its positioning with this ingredient.

Rhodiola Rosea Root Powder

Modest evidence

A well-studied adaptogen, with clinical trial support for reduced mental fatigue and improved stress resilience under demanding conditions.

Effects on memory specifically, as opposed to fatigue and stress resilience broadly, are more modest and less directly studied than Bacopa's.

L-Theanine

Modest evidence

An amino acid found naturally in tea, with solid human research behind promoting calm, relaxed alertness and reducing anxiety — particularly well-studied when paired with caffeine.

MemoGuard is positioned as stimulant-free, so L-Theanine here is working without its most-studied caffeine pairing. Standalone cognitive-enhancement evidence for L-Theanine alone is comparatively thinner.

Panax Ginseng Extract

Modest evidence, uncited

A traditionally used root with modest evidence for improved reaction time and reduced mental fatigue, though results across different studies are inconsistent.

Unlike Bacopa, Rhodiola, and L-Theanine, we could not find a direct citation link for Panax Ginseng in the materials we reviewed, despite the ingredient receiving an evidence grade there. Worth independently verifying the specific research behind this inclusion if it matters to your decision.

Branched Chain Amino Acids (2:1:1)

Weak evidence, uncited

BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, and valine in a 2:1:1 ratio) are a genuinely well-researched category — for muscle protein synthesis, exercise recovery, and athletic performance.

Evidence for a direct cognitive or memory benefit specifically is considerably thinner than the other four ingredients in this formula. Like Panax Ginseng, we found no direct citation link for this ingredient in the materials we reviewed. Its inclusion in a formula marketed primarily for brain health is the single most notable evidence gap across all five ingredients.

The pattern across all five: real research exists for Bacopa Monnieri, Rhodiola Rosea, L-Theanine, and Panax Ginseng in a cognitive context, even though the evidence strength varies. BCAAs stand apart — a well-evidenced ingredient, but for a different purpose entirely. None of the five carry a printed dose, which means even the strongest-evidenced ingredient here can't be checked against the amounts its own research actually used.
